ABSTRACT
There is a long tradition of collaboration in both social work and the arts. Drawing on twenty-five years of teaching, practice, and writing at the intersection of social group work and the arts, this article provides a discussion of skills in building collaboration for social practice focused on balancing group process with successful artistic task completion. Skills and concepts that intersect social group work and artistic practice are delineated and examples of these skills and concepts in practice are cited.
