Special issue of Issues in Mental Health Nursing on the topic of

Technology in Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Practice, Research, and Education

Manuscripts are being sought on technological innovations in psychiatric//mental health clinical practice, research, and education for a special issue of Issues in Mental Health Nursing. The journal is peer-reviewed and indexed in PsycINFO, CINAHL, PubMed, and many other databases. 2018 is its 39t1i year of publication. Its impact factor is 0.867 and it is ranked 78 out of 116 journals in the Nursing Science Category of the 2016 JCR.

A broad range of topics will be considered including development of mobile apps to remind patients to take medications or exercise, support apps for people who are grieving, psychotherapy conducted via distance technology, research conducted Yia internet/social media, and technology in psychiatric-mental health nursing pedagogy. Review articles will be considered as well as research-focused, practice-oriented, and theoretical/conceptual papers.

The special issue is slated to appear in print in October, 2018. However, accepted manuscripts will be available online ahead-of-print.

Deadline: Manuscripts must be received by May 31, 2018.

“Issues in Mental Health Nursing” requires APA format. There is no specified page limit, but most papers range from 15 to 25 pages of double-spaced text. Accuracy in citations is imperative.
