Studies on the eriophyid mites (Acari: Eriophyidae) of Iran: 1. two new species of Aceria, with a key to Iranian species

Abstract

Two new species, Aceria scariolae n.sp. infesting Lactuca orientalis Boiss.(Asteraceae) and Aceria cousiniae n.sp. infesting Cousinia eryngiodes Boiss. (Asteraceae), are described from Iran. Relationships of the new species with other known species in Iran are discussed. A key for separating the Iranian species of Aceria is provided.
