Abstract
In this paper, five new species of Phyllocoptes from China are described and illustrated, namely Phyllocoptes cuihuashani n. sp. on Thalictrum sp. (Ranunculaceae), Phyllocoptes changbaiensis n. sp. on Crataegus maximowiczii (Rosaceae), Phyllocoptes mingyuiensis n. sp. on Cotoneaster sp. (Rosaceae), Phyllocoptes mollissimae n. sp. on Castanea mollissima (Fagaceae), Phyllocoptes taihuaiensis n. sp. on Armeniaca mume (Rosaceae). The eriophyoid mite species described herein are vagrants on the undersurface of host leaves. A key to the species of Phyllocoptes from China is provided.
