ABSTRACT

In the present paper, Antennoseius (Antennoseius) avius Karg, 1977 is reported for the first time from Iran and redescribed on the basis of re-examination of the holotype and paratype specimens plus additional females collected in Iran. Antennoseius (A.) alexandrovi Bregetova, 1977 and A. (A.) arvensis Kalúz, 1994 are determined to be junior synonyms of A. (A.) avius, and A. (A.) japonicus Ishikawa, 1979 and A. (A.) sinicus Guo & Gu, 1997 are junior synonyms of A. (A.) hispaniensis Bernhard, 1963. Additional information is presented for A. (A.) gwiazdowiczi Kavianpour & Nemati, 2013. Also, adenotaxy and poroidotaxy of the genus were presented. Finally, a key to the species of Antennoseius Berlese occurring in Iran is presented.
