New data on two Southeast Asian species of the genus Chinoperla Zwick, 1980 (Plecoptera: Perlidae), with a description of Chinoperla zwicki sp. n.

Abstract

A new species of the stonefly genus Chinoperla Zwick, Citation1980, Chinoperla zwicki sp. n. is described from Houaphan Province of Laos based on strongly pigmented specimen and compared with related congeners. With this description, the genus Chinoperla is reported for the first time from Laos. Additionally, male adult of Chinoperla nigriceps (Banks, Citation1914) from Xizang is redescribed and it represents a new record for China.
