Please note that in the article entitled “The role of prosody in the English dative alternation” by Arto Anttila, Matthew Adams, and Michael Speriosu, published online ahead of print and in this issue (Volume 25, Issue 7/8/9, Pages 946–981), there was an author error.

In their description of the corpus from which they pulled their data, the authors reported that 100% of their data came from blogspot.com. In fact, only about 81% of the web sites were actually from blogspot.com.

The breakdown of the content of the “Blogspot Corpus” is as follows (The verb “donate” is not included):

All URLs: 1,513 (100%)

Blogspot: 1,231 (81.4%)

Geocities: 51 (3.4%)

Livejournal: 36 (2.4%)

Other: 195 (12.8%) — these are a mix, mainly the verbs “give” and “bring”
