Corrigendum

This article refers to:
A reinforcing technique for the adhesive bonded composite joints using metallic wires

Kaji M, Farahani M, Ansari M. A reinforcing technique for the adhesive bonded composite joints using metallic wires. J. Adhes. Sci. Technol. 2017. https://doi.org/10.1080/01694243.2017.1290573

The idea of the employment of metal fibers for reinforcement of adhesively bonded metal joint was proposed by Khoramishad et al. [Citation1]. This research is cited by this corrigendum. They reported that incorporating metal fibers in the adhesive layer of a metal bonded joint can have considerable influence on the joint strength. In this study, similar technique was used successfully for the reinforcement of composite joins.

Both the print and online versions have now been corrected to take account of this as follows:

Article title changed from “A novel reinforcing technique for the adhesive bonded composite joints using metallic wires” to “A reinforcing technique for the adhesive bonded composite joints using metallic wires”.

First sentence of last paragraph on page 2 changed from “In this study, using reinforcing metallic wires in the adhesive layer of adhesively bonded joints considered as an novel technique for improving the mechanical properties of the adhesive joints.” to “The idea of the employment of metal fibers for reinforcement of adhesively bonded metal joint was proposed by Khoramishad et al. [17]. They reported that incorporating metal fibers in the adhesive layer of a metal bonded joint can have considerable influence on the joint strength. This technique was used for the reinforcement of composite joins in this study.”

New reference [17] inserted: “Khoramishad H, Razavi SMJ. Metallic fiber-reinforced adhesively bonded joints. Int J Adhes Adhes. 2014;55:114–122.”

Previous references [17], [18] and [19] renumbered to [18], [19] and [20], respectively.
