Call for Papers by IJPA for a Special Issue on Society and Policy in the Middle East and North Africa

International Journal of Public Administration (IJPA), published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis, is a triple blind-refereed, scholarly publication that presents a forum for academicians and practitioners in diverse areas of public administration and public policy, governance, organization theory and behavior, public management, nonprofit administration, budgeting and finance, and more. IJPA is preparing a Special Issue Symposium on “Society and Public Policy in the Middle East and North Africa” broadly defined that will be published in mid-fall 2019. Manuscripts focused on climate change, food policy, water governance, child and youth policy, digital policy and practice, health policy, higher education governance and policy, poverty alleviation, leadership, and work, employment and economy are especially welcomed.

Interested scholars are cordially invited to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words by January 31, 2019. The authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified by February 15, 2019, with a request to prepare their draft manuscripts to be presented in a workshop scheduled to be held at The American University in Cairo’s New Cairo Campus on April 28, 2019. The cost of airfare and accommodation of the selected authors will be covered by the organizer. Deadline for submission of the fully completed manuscripts is August 1, 2019. All manuscripts will go through rigorous blind-reviews. The papers should not exceed 30 pages (double spaced/7000 words), inclusive of all tables, figures, and charts. APA is the style with third person writing style required, and the guidelines are provided on the IJPA site (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/lpad). All abstracts and manuscripts should be submitted to IJPA Editor-in-Chief, Professor Ali Farazmand ([email protected]) and Guest Editor, Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Associate Professor at The American University in Cairo’s Department of Public Policy and Administration ([email protected]).
