Abstract
Primary root tips (1‐cm) of seedling sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench. vc GP‐10, SC 283, SC 574, and Funk G522DR] content of calcium (Ca), zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), copper (Cu), boron (B), manganese (Mn), and phosphorus (P) in response to verapamil (0, 0.1, 1, or 10 μM) with concomitant exposure to Hoagland and Arnon complete mineral nutrient solution was measured by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrophotometry (ICP). Differences among cultivar responses to verapamil concentrations were found in root tip contents of Ca, P, Zn, B, Fe, Mg, Mn, and Cu.
