Professor Nigel J. D. Graham of Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK joined the editorial staff of Ozone: Science & Engineering in 1991 as Assistant Editor. This position was shortly changed to Associate Editor and Nigel had responsibility for peer review of papers from Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. Nigel and his able associate, Mrs. Angela Frederick have been reliably delivering high quality manuscripts from this region for almost 28 years.
In addition to his responsibilities as Associate Editor, Nigel has been a frequent contributor to OS&E, publishing more than 12 papers on topics such as emerging contaminants (atrazine), surfactants, fatty acids and landfill leachate treatment with ozone.
Professor Graham has decided that it is time to start winding down some activities and will be retiring as Associate Editor as of July 1, 2018. His efforts are deeply appreciated and will be sorely missed.
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Chedly Tizaoui, Associate Professor, College of Engineering, Swansea University, Wales, UK will become the new Associate Editor. Chedly will be responsible for peer review of papers submitted from the EA3G group.
Chedly received degrees from the National Engineering School of Gabes (Tunisia), Polytech Institute of Toulouse (France) and University of Bradford (UK). He has been involved in ozone research since 2000 and has published more than 40 ozone-related research papers including topics such as ozone-loaded solvents and ozone-assisted membrane processes.
Dr. Tizaoui is currently a member of the OS&E Editorial Board and authored a special issue of OS&E “Ozone and Advanced Oxidation for the Water-Energy-Food-Heath Nexus.” He serves on the Editorial Board of several scientific journals including Journal of Waste Management, and Desalination, and Associate Editor of the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration.
Please join me in welcoming Chedly to his new position as Associate Editor and thanking Nigel and Angela for their many years of service to OS&E and the IOA.
