Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present strategies to assist LDS (Mormon) sex therapists-in-training as they work through the anxiety and value conflict of doing sex therapy. This paper outlines the importance of self-of-the-therapist work to assist with this role. It specifically suggests the use of Buber’s philosophy and Bowen family systems theory as a way to approach this important task.
