Abstract

This study examines three therapy cases of Korean families to explore the factors that contributed to the male clients’ experience of sex as pressure which led to sexual dysfunction. We used intra- and inter-case analysis to identify similarities and differences between the contributing factors in the cases. The contributing factors were psychological, in-law factors, marital communication factors, family of origin factors, and transference factors. Our findings suggest that interaction among these factors contributed to the husbands’ experience of sex as pressure.
