ABSTRACT

The contributions of Rex Stockton and his colleagues to research on feedback in group counseling were reviewed. The following issues are examined: a) feedback's early theoretical and empirical foundation, b) Stockton and colleagues' methodology for examining feedback in group therapy, c) findings from Stockton and colleagues' line of research in feedback, d) critique and evaluation of this body of research, and e) implications for research and practice.
