An Empathetic Model of Group Counseling for Parents of Children with Cancer

Abstract

This article presents an empathetic model of group intervention in order to assist group leaders in working with parents of children with cancer. In addition, this article offers recommendations for recruitment and screening and theoretical tenets and considerations for the group, outlines six relevant group sessions, and provides an applied case study.
