Evolution of SciFinder, 2011–2013: New Features, New Content

Abstract

This article describes changes to the information resource SciFinder for approximately the last 18 months (December 2011–June 2013) culminating in the first major interface change since the debut of SciFinder as a web-based resource in 2008. These changes are divided into two broad categories: those affecting content (references, substances, and reactions) and those affecting workflow (search and postsearch processing features, interface changes, and improved access). Finally, an overview of the new, June 2013, SciFinder interface is presented.
