ABSTRACT
Library instruction is a cornerstone in the education of successful well-rounded students. To make information literacy more impactful, librarians should strive toward developing programs that provide it in a programmatic and scaffolded manner. The science librarian at the Auraria Library, in collaboration with key science faculty, instituted programmatic scaffolded information literacy for the chemistry department at the University of Colorado Denver and for biology and chemistry at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. This article describes steps in the process used for accomplishing this objective that others might want to follow in order to achieve similar outcomes.
