ABSTRACT
An analysis of the 6,570 citations in 78 master’s theses completed in environmental science at Florida Gulf Coast University from 2006 to 2016 was completed. Format types, ages of resources relative to thesis publication year, publishers, Library of Congress classifications, and library ownership or access of materials were investigated. Percentages of format types cited during each thesis publication year were investigated to determine changes over time. Journals, books, and reports were the most commonly cited format types. Journal article age, number of journal titles, and subject classifications of cited resources showed wide dispersion. The results demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of the field.
