Students’ Perceptions and Experiences of Using Cloud Services in Online Education During Pandemic Time: A Post-Covid Study

ABSTRACT

The study examines how Dhaka University students used cloud technologies to assist their online learning throughout the pandemic. A quantitative survey was carried out to collect data from the students of Dhaka University. The questionnaire included both open and close-ended questions and 5-point Likert scale items. Data were collected both online and using printed questionnaires. In this way, a total of 388 responses were recorded. IBM SPSS version 20 was used to analyze the collected data. This study found that the majority of the students used Zoom and Gmail for their online lessons. Students were pleased with the different features of cloud services including the privacy and security of data, free or pay-per-use opportunities, and personalized learning opportunities. The most common hurdle encountered by students, according to the results, was a poor internet connection. The study found no significant differences in the students’ experiences of utilizing cloud services in online learning based on their educational level, gender, age, location of attending online classes, computer experience, cloud use training, and duration of internet use.
