Abstract
Several types of uncertainty that may occur in an experiment or a process are considered; they are either defined in a probabilistic way or describe some fuzziness in the data. Many quantities have been proposed to measure this uncertainty and to evaluate the information transmitted by the experiment or the process. We propose a general framework to classify these quantities that have various properties which are not always similar.
