Summary

The purpose of this work was to analyze the effects of lexical ambigüity in sentence processing through activation, employing 2 pyshophysiological indices, conductance, heart rate and reaction times.

We tried to prove the effects of the dominance of a meaning over the other in ambiguous words in relation to the frequency of use in a neutral context.

The results show that there ares not significant diferences between the two meanings in the dependent variables. Threfore, Simpson's hypothesis of an independent context model is prove.
