1. This information comes from a telephone interview with Mrs Elinor Sisulu on 4 May 2006. Born in Harare, Elinor Sisulu studied English and History at the University of Zimbabwe. She also read for the MA in Development Studies at the Institute for Social Studies in The Hague. She has worked in development and as a researcher for government, and is currently a writer and activist on the situation in Zimbabwe. She married Max Sisulu in 1986 and has written a well-received biography of her parents-in-law, Walter and Albertina Sisulu (see Sisulu Citation2003).
