Abstract
This paper compares art‐teacher training in England, Australia and the USA. It discusses similarities and differences in traditional models of art‐teacher preparation in operation in all three countries and examines some reforms, or modifications, to art‐education and professional‐studies courses pioneered during the last twenty years in the USA.
