ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to explore the role of leisure activities in the life satisfaction of older people. In addition, the mediating and moderating effects of leisure activities and health on family support and life satisfaction are examined. This study is based on a primary survey of 311 older adults in India. A questionnaire was administered for data collection. PLS-SEM was used to analyse the data. The analysis was done in two phases: measurement model analysis and structural equation modelling. Measurement model analysis estimated that the constructs have adequate reliability and validity. SEM results showed the positive impact of family support on life satisfaction, both directly and indirectly through leisure activities. Health of older adults moderates the relationship between family support and life satisfaction. The novelty and value of the study is the significant role of health and leisure activities between family support and life satisfaction.

Deepika Pandoi
Dr. Deepika Pandoi has been associated with GLA University, since 2014 as a full – time research scholar. In November 2018, she has joined as Assistant Professor in Management Department in GLA University, Mathura. She has qualified UGC – NET & JRF exam and then completed her Ph.D. in Consumer Behaviour and Higher Education. She is good in both quantitative and qualitative analysis. She has used different modern tools and techniques of data analysis, like – SPSS, Smart PLS – 3.0, Amos – SEM, etc. She has good publications in National as well as in International Journals. She got Best Paper Award in the International Conference on Organizational and Management (ICOM) 2017 organized by College of Business, Abu Dhabi University in collaboration with Asia Academy of Management, held in Abu Dhabi, UAE during November 19 – 20, 2017.
Mohammad Asif
Dr. Mohammad Asif is an assistant professor in the department of Finance, College of administrative & Financial science at Saudi Electronics University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Earlier he has worked as an Assistant Professor in Aligarh Muslim University(Centre-Malappuram) Kerala and As a Guest Faculty in Department of economics, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics & Business Management from Aligarh Muslim University. His area of interest in teaching and research includes Microeconomics, Agricultural Economics, Banking, Managerial Economics, International Economics and Environmental Economics. He has published many research papers in journals and attended various National and International seminar, Conferences and workshops. He has more than 13 years of teaching experience.
Amar Johri
Dr Amar Johri is an Assistant Professor in the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, at Saudi Electronic University, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since September 2019. He has more than 16 years of experience in academics. He obtained his doctorate (PhD) from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. His research interest includes financial services, financial market, banking, investment, and accounting. He has published around 24 research papers in national and international journals (including Scopus Q1 indexed journals, Web of Science: SSCI, SCIE, Q1, Q2 & ESCI journals, ABDC category journals, and Proceedings of International Conferences of repute) and has presented around 17 research papers in national and international conferences. He has worked on various research projects and currently working on a few more research projects. He has been chair of the technical sessions and honored as a chief guest (valedictory session) at the international conference. He delivers and conducts sessions on financial planning, financial literacy, investment decisions, corporate finance, accounting information system and corporate accounting. His area of teaching interest includes the subjects of finance and accounting.
