Abstract
We, the Editor and Publisher of The Services Industries Journal have retracted the following article:

The Service Industries Journal, 37(11-12), 685–702. DOI: 10.1080/02642069.2017.1298095. This article constitutes a redundant publication, as an earlier and very similar version of this article was published in Spanish in Intangible Capital, 13(2), 253–281. DOI: https://doi.org/10.3926/ic.717.
The authors have co-operated with our investigations and agree with the Editor and Publisher on this course of action to correct the redundancy in the literature record. This error was made in good faith and the authors apologise for the mistake.
The Service Industries Journal considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to The Service Industries Journal, that they have neither been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. The Service Industries Journal published this article in good faith, and on the basis of signed statements of the corresponding author regarding the originality of their work.
