Summary

Although employing other people in the classroom can be beneficial it is, nevertheless, a complex undertaking which could also prove to be problematic unless carefully planned and well implemented.

This paper identifies some of the major problem areas associated with the employment of welfare assistants in the primary school classroom and explores possible solutions.
