Editorial Statement

Editorial statement

On the basis of advice received from one of the article’s reviewers, a response to the article by Samulski et al. [Citation1] was invited from Luckhurst and Dozov [Citation2] to provide balance and perspective on what was being proposed by Samulski et al. In turn, a response to the Comment on this article was received from the authors Samulski et al. after they had been given the time to read the Comment and formulate a rebuttal of where they felt the Comment did not address their Article fully. After careful review by the original article reviewer, it was deemed the Response did not add anything new to this discussion, but merely reiterated the original Article. As such, the Publisher and Editor have agreed not to publish it here as it was felt that it does not further the discussion at this time. Furthermore, Samulski et al. have uploaded their non-peer reviewed Response on arXiv.
