High efficiency, lossless, large free-standing photonic bandgap polymer films

ABSTRACT

Polarization selective photonic bandgaps are demonstrated as free-standing flexible films of chiral structure. Capability of large sizes, absence of defects and related high optical quality make the films adequate for imaging, optical communication, display, and other applications.
