Richard Edwards

In this article Richard Edwards of the School of Education of the OU UK examines issues of globalisation and the changing relationship of space and time, and relates these to distance education. Globalisation can be seen as resulting either in more homogeneity or in different ways in which the local is expressed. Edwards agues that these issues are relevant for our understanding of the ways in which distance education and contemporary society are developing.
