Abstract
P. brasiliensis conidia were studied for their ability to grow as yeasts or as molds according to temperature. Using a microculture system we found that such conidia shared the ability of the parent mycelium to transform directly into multiple-budding yeast cells at 36°C or to produce germ tubes and branching mycelia if kept at 22°C.
