Abstract

With the ‘cognitive cloud’, I was concerned about a very basic level ofconceptualizing the finctional disorders resulting from Merent cerebral pathologies. As clinical specialists, we have conceptualizations that drive the manner in which we identify and then try to understand the phenomena that are impaired. I fretted about ‘language’ and ‘cognition’, about what we mean by these terms and by various comparisons (or contrasts) that are implied by the use of these terms. This forum is a public display of a valuable process whereby notions formulated months ago can be clarified and refined (and maybe discarded) in response to feedback. The respondants' feedback should help all of us.
