Abstract

The discovery of a strange diatom in a Norfolk river led to a search for its source in an area of periglacial features. Detailed study of the diatom, Cyclotella sevillana Deby, and the associated C. sexpunctata Deby, using the scanning electron microscope shows interesting structures.
