This article refers to:
A new family of Cypriniformes (Teleostei, Ostariophysi) based on a redescription of †Jianghanichthys hubeiensis (Lei, 1977) from the Eocene Yangxi Formation of China

On page e1004073-2 in our paper (Liu et al., Citation2015), the statement “… Britz et al. (Citation2014) suggested Paedocypris to be a basal clade of the Cypriniformes together with other miniature cyprinids.” should be corrected to “…Britz et al. (Citation2014) suggested that Paedocypris, together with other miniature cyprinoids, forms a clade of uncertain position within the Cyprinoidei.” The authors thank Dr. Britz for bringing this incorrect paraphrasing to our attention.
