Shabeeh Rahat

Shabeeh Rahat is an Assistant Professor at the Writing Center at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. She has a doctorate in English Literature and specializes in Postcolonial Studies, with reference to India. Her research focuses on South Asia in relation to disadvantaged groups. She works across English, Hindi and Urdu literature. She has published a poetry collection in Hindi, a poem in English in an international anthology, translation pieces in international volumes on Premchand’s nonfiction prose, and journal articles. Two of her book chapters are in the pipeline for international edited volumes. She received the Professional Development Grant by the Modern Language Association (MLA) in 2023.
