Abstract
Borrowing from the special education and educational psychology literature, general characteristics of giftedness are identified and presented as possible determinants of how television is used by young intellectually gifted children. Questions regarding the effects television might have on these children are raised and answers, extracted from the most recent mass communication literature, are provided
