WISC-R Research: Implications for Interpretation

Pages 5-27 | Published online: 26 Dec 2019

Abstract

A selective review of the WISC-R literature is presented for the main purpose of relating the research results to test interpretation. The interpretive topics covered are inferences drawn from factor-analytic findings, subtest specificity, the meaning of normal inter-scale and intra-scale scatter, characteristic subtest profiles for some exceptional populations, assessment of minority group children, and WISC-WISC-R IQ differences.
