We welcome Professor Elise Kosunen as new National Editor and Professor Markku Timonen as new Assisting National Editor for Finland. Elise has worked as a full-time GP for eleven years and held a teaching position at University of Tampere for 16 years. Her own research in recent years has had a special focus on sexual health and contraception. Markku is a general practitioner at Oulu Health Centre and professor of general practice at the University of Oulu. Important parts of his research have been on mental disease in primary health care and the relationship between mental and somatic conditions, e.g. diabetes.
Professor Irma Virjo, who has been a highly valued National Finnish editor for many years, and the assisting Finnish editor Heikki Luukinen have decided to stop. I wish to thank them both for their good (an unpaid) work for the Journal.
