Sociocultural perspectives in the cognitive styles of young students and teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss cognition from various sociocultural perspectives, including ethnicity, cognitive style and related factors. Trends will be identified realtive to preschool instruction which may facilitate young children's cognitive development.
