Abstract

A conventional hydraulic nozzle spray system and a controlled droplet application spray boom were used to apply benomyl to pasture for the control of Pithomyces chartarum, the causative organism of facial eczema. The controlled droplet application system reduced Pithomyces chartarum spore levels to those obtained by conventional means. Both application systems reduced to an equivalent level the liver damage typical of facial eczema in lambs.
