Arguably, administrators are killing our universities. More than 50 years ago, leading American intellectual Paul Goodman counselled secession. Is it time to revisit this option?

Martin Levy currently researches a number of topics, including twentieth-century counterculture and Jewish identities. He is the author of a small number of publications including books on eighteenth-century social history and articles on universities and anti-psychiatry.
