Abstract

Cyanides, whether organic or inorganic, highly toxic to all forms of life, i.e., animals and plants alike. This necessitates its detection and determination even when present in trace amounts. Various optical, electrometric, radiochemical and chromatographic methods so far reported for this purpose have been reviewed. An exhaustive bibliography of 154 references is given.
