ABSTRACT
The article discusses the relevance of increasing the sowing qualities of forest seeds. The results of studies on the influence of humic preparations on the sowing qualities of the European spruce (Picea abies) are presented. The positive effect of the studied humic preparations on the germinative energy and germinating ability of seeds was noted. The best effect is obtained when processing seeds which have reduced sowing qualities. The dependence of germinating ability of seeds on duration of soaking in the working solution of humic preparations and the content of the active substance in them has been established. The best indicators of germinating ability and germinative energy were noted when the seeds were soaked for 20 hours in a humic preparation with a humic acid content of 9.9 g/l.
