WVPA MATTERS

Special subscription rate to Avian Pathology for WVPA members Members of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) are entitled to a special low subscription rate to Avian Pathology. A subscription includes all the issues of the particular volume. Proof of membership should accompany an application for a subscription. This can be obtained from the Corresponding Secretary of the national WVPA branch or from the Secretary/Treasurer of the WVPA in the absence of a national branch.

Online access for WVPA members Taylor and Francis, publishers of Avian Pathology, have agreed that members of WVPA who subscribe to the journal can receive their copy of the journal online, rather than as a hard copy. Members who wish to receive the journal in this way should tell the publisher when they renew their subscription, and provide proof of membership. Online access is provided to WVPA members on the strict condition that it is for the private use of that member only and must not be made available to other persons or networked to any other site.

WVPA website

The WVPA web site can be accessed at http://www.wvpa.net. The latest issue of the Association's newsletter, Aerosols, is available online at the WVPA site.

Contact details for forthcoming WVPA Congresses can be found in the International Meetings section of Avian Pathology.

Our Publisher, Taylor and Francis, has now digitised back issues of Avian Pathology, going all the way back to Volume 1, Issue 1 of 1972. These are freely available to all via the Avian Pathology website, www.avianpathology.com.

Houghton Trust International Travel Grants

Avian Pathology is owned by the Houghton Trust, a charitable company. Royalties from the sale of the journal are used by the Houghton Trust to establish a fund to assist young research workers (normally 35 or under) of any nationality for participation in scientific meetings, visits to laboratories and training courses in connection with research on avian diseases. Application forms may be obtained at the web site of the Houghton Trust, www.houghtontrust.org.uk or directly from the Secretary of the Trust, Dr Jane Cook: [email protected].
