Abstract

A compilation of the chemical shifts of two-coordinate phosphorus in fully unsaturated cyclic compounds is presented. (Acyclic as well as partly unsaturated cyclic compounds are covered in Part I). Data are arranged according to the ring size and to the neighbours to the phosphorus in the ring. δ31P tends to lower field in the series C. N. P for the neighbouring ring members; the whole range extends roughly from δ31P=470 to 0 with most of the shifts between 300 and 50. Parallels to δ13C and δ15N in heterocycles with CH and N, respectively, in place of P are shown.
