Fathers: An Emerging Frontier For Social Workers?

Abstract

Parenting beliefs and practices inevitably influence those of child development and child rearing. This paper cites literature available on fathering which is relevant to social workers, but not generally included in social work texts, with reference to areas such as children in care; divorce and custody; and clinical settings including family therapy.
