Abstract
The purpose of the present work was to confirm the composition of stiff substance in the disperse phase of impact polypropylene copolymers (IPC) by experimental evidence. The morphology and compositions of disperse phase for both IPC with similar molecular weight and molecular weight distribution were characterized by atomic force microscope (AFM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The results show the stiff phase in the disperse phase of IPC A are some crystal regions of PE long segments.
