Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed the ratio-product type difference-cum-exponential estimators to estimate the population mean using an auxiliary variable in two well defined situations of non response. The biases and mean square errors are obtained under large sample approximations in both situations i.e., situation-I and situation-II. It is empirically shown that the proposed class of estimators are more efficient than some recently published estimators. A simulation study is also carried out in support of the present work in which the performance of first order approximation and second order approximation of suggested estimators have been discussed.
