Monte Carlo simulation of the optical radiation transfer process in stochastic scattering media

Abstract

In this work a new method of free path length simulation for solving the transfer integral equation is proposed and studied. A comparison of the proposed method and the maximum cross-section method for different stochastic media is made. It is shown that for a scattering parameter with large variance, the proposed method has advantages.
