Abstract
In this paper, we review some existing methods for testing goodness-of-fit based on progressively type-II censored samples in the location-scale family of distributions. Also, some similar procedures and new modifications are proposed. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the powers of the reviewed and proposed tests are compared for the normal and Gumbel distributions against several alternatives. Then, we present some results based on the simulation studies. Finally, an application to two datasets is presented for numerical illustration.
