Testing an Exponential Delay Time Model Against an Intensity Proportional Repair Alert Model

Abstract

We consider an industrial system subject to different causes of failure and different types of maintenance: corrective maintenance or preventive maintenance. Many models of alternance between these types of maintenance have been written in a competing risks framework.

In this article, we introduce nonparametric tests with aim to decide between some of these models, more precisely between a Delay Time model with exponential distribution and an Intensity Proportional Repair Alert model. Two different types of tests are introduced and the asymptotic normality of their test statistics is proved.
